We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. It was a busy weekend here at Diamond S Ranch as Kris continued to make some delicious dairy products. This week we will have fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and butter! These will go fast, so be sure to contact us as soon as possible if you would like any.
Mozzarella is one of my favorite types of cheese because it can be used in a variety of ways. In the garden we noticed that the majority of the tomatoes were still green and it got me thinking of a dish my mom used to make when i was a kid- Fried Green Tomatoes. I layered the slices of fresh mozzarella in between the tomatoes and topped it with a honey/balsamic glaze. On the side were homemade fried mozzarella cheese sticks.
Next week the Brie and Swiss Cheese will be ready! The Brie has been aging for over a month, and the Swiss has been aging for about 3 months. We are excited to bring you these products and have a taste for ourselves. Here is a sneak peak of the Brie.
