Our hearts are hurting a little this week as we had to say goodbye to Gene's dog, Cash. A good cow dog can be hard to find, and Cash was definitely a great one. Cash was always ready for a job, and over the last 12 years he stood by Gene's side not just as a dog, but as a friend. After all, dogs are a man's best friend. 

It's difficult to find the words to show honor of such a great cow dog, but the ranch was definitely blessed with this one. Below is a picture of the cows watching a good dog go home.

As for our dairy products we will have some special order cream cheese and sourdough bread.  The big item is fresh milk, both plain and chocolate.  Also, we would love to share kefir grains with anyone interested.  Ours are so happy they are multiplying like crazy. We also have enough extra milk to keep our Marinated Feta going, so we will be restocking this on Thursday.  Blue Cheese Dressing will become a regular item as will our cheddar cheese too.  We are trying hard not to run out of our delicious Hyattville Cheddar! Thanks again for all the support and interest in our little dairy. It is our customers that keep us going!

Hi Everyone!

We have had a lot going on here lately! We welcomed a new member to our TEAM last week! Her name is Maygen and she grew up in Ohio but moved here from Tennessee. Some of you might have met her last week at Bee Healthy. She'll be a regular face around here for awhile and we are really excited to have her on board to fill in the gaps.

In other news...we have weaned the calves off of Hannah so she is now back to producing milk for us to use to fill milk orders and for cheese making! This will hopefully allow us to make a wheel or two of cheese each week. Those wheels then need to age for at least 3 months, depending on what variety of cheese was made.

Speaking of cheese! Have you tried the cheddar from the wheel we just opened up? There is some pre-packaged at Bee Healthy for sale. It came out really nice and has a great smooth flavor (the best I've ever tasted, maybe I'm biased). Give it a try if you haven't yet! There is also one package of Pepper Jack left, get it before it's gone!

This week we will have Cottage Cheese, Hot Pepper Cheese, Mozzarella, Ricotta, Butter and Kefir! Our orders for raw milk have been increasing so unfortunately cheese has slightly been pushed to the side (for now!). The ladies don't produce as much milk in the winter (understandably) but come spring and green grass we should be back to providing more cheese and special orders! We thank all of you for the raw milk orders!! We couldn't do this without all of you!

We hope your week is starting off great and we hope to see you at Bee Healthy this Thursday. Our milk orders have been through the roof lately, so we apologize for not having much other product for you to sample and purchase. Our girls have been giving their best, and we use every drop of milk we can get from them. This week we will have some local favorites back in stock. Some fresh Mozzarella and some  Marinated Feta will both be in the fridge at Bee Healthy!
