We cannot believe how fast summer went! This week will be our second to last at Lloyd Crafts for the season. For all of you that pick-up milk at Lloyd Crafts, we still continue our milk deliveries to Worland throughout the winter and spring months. Just let us know if you'd like to continue your milk orders, if you haven't already and we'll get you the info you need for when/where pick-up is. The Ten Sleep deliveries will also continue on Monday's and Wednesday's.
Starting the early part of November we will be at Bee Healthy (635 Big Horn Ave., Worland) every Friday from 3:30-5:30pm with an assortment of aged cheeses and freshly made products for the week! Janet Heron, the new owner, has graciously extended an invitation for us to be there when Lloyd Craft Farms do their weekly vegetable pick-up. We are excited to give this a try! Here is what we will have this week in stock:
We appreciate all the feedback we have received about the Lebnah yogurt! We have been tinkering with the cultures, the richness of the milk and how long the curds are drained. There are many variations. We have shared several and hope the smooth texture, with the mild flavor this week is what you have been looking for. These will be packaged in 24 oz bottles for $6 making it $0.25/per ounce. This is comparable to what is in the supermarkets, but better...while doing a search on Amazon for organic yogurt you can find all sorts of sugary sweet stuff to feed our kids that make them crave sugar the rest of their lives. What we need to do is introduce the little ones to healthy non-sugary foods early in their lives, so they aren't addicted to the sweets. These organic yogurts are much more expensive than ours and not nearly as nutritious. Order yours from Diamond S today. We also wanted to announce that Miss Lizzy has calved!! After a few long months of waiting she had her calf last week and both mom and baby are doing well. Have a great week! ~Emma for Diamond S Delights

Hey everyone!
Hope your week has started out great and that you are all staying dry during these rainy days. This week I want to touch a little on the health benefits of aged cheeses. There are ongoing studies being conducted by The Weston A Price Foundation (WAPF) at John Hopkins University showing that milk not only builds strong bones, but also helps prevent bone loss and osteoporosis! Raw milk and dairy products help 'prevent or reduce the effects of diseases associated with chronic inflammation,' including osteoporosis. The studies that have already been conducted have shown outstanding results that the bacteria in raw dairy, known as probiotics, can help boost the immune system and produce natural anti-inflammatories! If you would like more information, or know how to donate to this special research, just go to https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/wapfresearch. If you want to experience the health benefits for yourself just stop in at the store or we'll see you Thursday at Lloyd Craft Farms. This week we will have two wheels of aged cheeses (boost your immune system today!), mozzarella, and ghee! We hope to see you there, and as always thanks for your support in Diamond S Delights! Blaise With the growing season slowly coming to an end we wanted to let everyone that picks up milk at Lloyd Crafts know that we still deliver to Worland when the market isn't going on. Just let us know if you'd like to continue getting milk from us on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and we'll give you the details of where you can pick it up. We can also bring cheeses, yogurts, feta, etc. to Worland as well! The same goes for Ten Sleep, Greybull, and Basin.
Miss Lizzy should be calving here shortly (or so we hope). We are also in the process of "drying" Miss Lila (pictured above) off in order to give her a break before she calves. It's important to give each cow a rest from milking before they calve again. It allows them to re-energize and have a vacation from their typical routine. This would be the same concept in the beef industry when ranchers wean the calves off the cows. It allows those cows to have some rest before their next calf. This week we will have:
We hope you all have a great week! ~Emma for Diamond S Delights Hey Everyone!
How did you like the Lebneh yogurt? We loved it, as it was delicious served with sautéed onions, tomatoes, or just using it as dip for other vegetables. We would love to hear if you enjoyed it or not, as we are always looking to improve and make products you enjoy too. We will also have a variety of cheeses and product available at the store and Craft Farms. They include:
Stop on in and say Hi and grab some delicious dairy delights! As always, thanks for your continued support in Diamond S Delights ~Blaise |
