We hope everyone enjoyed their rainy Saturday as much as we did! We canned salsa all day and got the garden pretty well taken care of. It was nice to see snow on the mountain again even if it's a little early! Kris has been working on fermenting some homemade sauerkraut that will be available for purchase here in a few more weeks. The kraut is made from cabbage, red beets, ginger and a touch of salt. I'll admit, I've already sampled it and boy is it good! We also have a second round of Brie and Swiss. You can pre-order the sauerkraut or purchase the cheeses by contacting Kris. There are two weeks left for our weekly trips to Lloyd Craft Farms. This week we are featuring Swiss, Brie, Marinated Feta, Lemon Yogurt and there will an apple crisp dessert made with cheese for sampling. It's been a wonderful experience being able to meet so many great people! We have really enjoyed all the hospitality the Craft's have shown us. If any of our readers would be interested in learning more about what Lloyd Craft Farms is all about be sure to checkout their website and blog at http://lloydcraftfarms.com/. The Craft's put on a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and every week those people who have bought vegetable shares come to pick them up to enjoy! Lloyd Craft's also has available fresh organic fruit for purchase. They really do a nice job bringing fresh organic vegetables and fruit to our community! Be sure the check them out! Don't forget that special orders for sourdough bread are available for pick up on Mondays at the dairy store and on Thursdays at Lloyd Craft Farms.
